Where To Park

Edale Car Park, Postcode: S33 7 ZQ

Parking at the location is relatively hassle-free, but it's worth bearing in mind that the machines only accept cash. The fee for parking is £4 for 2 to 4 hours, which, all things considered, is pretty reasonable. Additionally, there are free-to-use toilets available for hikers. However, it's worth noting that the car park tends to fill up quickly, especially during peak periods, so it's advisable to arrive early to avoid disappointment.

You can use Google Maps below to pinpoint the exact location of the parking or simply click on the links below.

The Route

The Edale and Upper Booth Circular hike is a challenging and rewarding hiking trail that takes you through some of the most stunning scenery in the Peak District National Park in England.

The hike starts in the picturesque village of Edale, located at the foot of the iconic Kinder Scout, and takes you along the Pennine Way, passing breathtaking views of the rolling hills and valleys. The ascent towards the Upper Booth is challenging, but the stunning views make it all worthwhile.

Upon reaching Upper Booth, the trail takes you through the verdant countryside, past the glistening waters of the River Noe and along the charming hamlets of Nether Booth and Ollerbrook Booth. You'll be surrounded by lush greenery and open fields, with sheep grazing on the hillsides.

As the hike progresses, the terrain becomes more challenging, with steep ascents and descents, and rocky paths. The trail takes you through the boulder-strewn landscape of Crowden Clough and onto the Kinder plateau, offering stunning views of the surrounding peaks and valleys.

After exploring the Kinder plateau, the hike takes you back to Edale through the breathtaking Grindsbrook Clough, a deep ravine with rushing streams and waterfalls. The descent is steep and rocky, but the views of the valley and surrounding hillsides are truly breathtaking.
